Can't Get Over Man of Steel

Spending and taking advantage of the none working holiday declared in our country – 105th Philippine Independence Day, my sister and I decided to go and watch the advance screening of the much awaited movie, Man of Steel. Watching it took my breath away. Having Henry Cavill casting as Superman? Who could ever resist that? He is absolutely breathtaking! And the fight scenes? Whoa! It's remarkably incredible. I even sympathize Superman when he got beaten by General Zod and that giant monster with large tentacles.

Personally, I say that this is the best Superman movie ever created. With such superb visual effects (thanks to our high end, computerized post editing), twisted and revived story of Clark Kent, plus a super hot, super cute Henry Cavill as Kal-El/Clark Kent, that’s a real Superman! He’s more than a superhero with supernatural powers.

I honestly didn’t expect he’d be good in portraying Superman after being Theseus in 2011 fictional movie The Immortals, as a demure debonair in The Tudor series, it’s a way far step-up for him.
It’s a two-thumb’s up! And yes, I still can’t get over it (haha)! This movie is worth watching and it’s up the hook! Now, I’m becoming a huge fan not only of Superman but Henry Cavill himself (kilig much!). Looking forward to a sequel of this movie and Cavill still as the Man of Steel!

Excited About Man of Steel

When I was a kid, the only superhero that I know is Superman, and when you say Superman the only guy that comes in my mind is none other than the late Christopher Reeve since he's the actor who portray Clark Kent whom I grew up with. Over the years, Superman/Clark Kent has been portrayed by many actors including (but not limited to) Bud Collyer, Kirk Allen, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh and the new Superman Henry Cavill.

This Superman movie this year is a much awaited one. Since it receives a lot of positive and overwhelming feedbacks, it makes me get excited on what to expect on this film. Plus, I was surprise to learn that the new Superman is Henry Cavil. Honestly, I didn't expect it would be him on that version. I remember him portraying as Charles Brandon, first Duke of Suffolk in The Tudors, as one of King Henry VIII's member of his court.

And yes, to those who have also watched The Count of Monte Cristo, he portrayed the character of Albert Mondego, and of course who could have forget Theseus, the founder King of Athens in the movie The Immortals? Hmmm...was also kinda surprise about the rise of this lad. We were used to see him portray supporting roles, and now he's the superhero every kid could ever know. I'm so excited to see him as the geeky and cute Clark Kent of Smallville who happened to forced to confront his secret extraterrestrial heritage when Earth is invaded by members of his race.Plus Russel Crowe as Jor-El,a scientist and member of the council of the planet Krypton and believed to be Kal-El's father from their planet.

Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman

Man of Steel
Can't wait to see this prequel movie. Showing this 14th of June! It's a best Father's Day treat to our dads. ;)
